Currently, HubSpot’s native e-signature functionality within Commerce Hub only supports signing the quote itself. While that works for simple proposals, many of us who use HubSpot to manage our full sales-to-contract process need the ability to include and collect signatures on multiple documents within the same signing envelope.
For example, when I send a quote to a customer, I also need them to sign:
- The Quote
- The MSA (Master Services Agreement)
- The SOW (Statement of Work)
At the moment, there’s no way to have customers sign all three in one seamless session using HubSpot’s native e-signature tool. We can attach PDFs or links, but those documents aren’t part of the official signature workflow — meaning we have to use external tools like DocuSign or Adobe Sign, which breaks the otherwise clean HubSpot workflow and reporting.
Proposed Enhancement:
Add functionality that allows users to:
- Add separate signature fields to each document within a single “envelope,” allowing one signing session with multiple signatures (one for each document).
- Track all documents’ signature status within the same quote/deal record.
- Include these signed documents in the final completed quote package that gets stored and sent automatically to all parties.
Why this matters:
- Keeps the entire quote-to-contract process inside HubSpot.
- Reduces the need for third-party e-signature tools.
- Streamlines customer experience — one signing session instead of multiple emails.
- Provides full visibility in the deal record, ensuring compliance and consistency for teams managing recurring agreements or projects.
This improvement would make Commerce Hub and the Quotes tool a true end-to-end CPQ and contract execution platform, especially for service-based businesses who rely on SOWs and MSAs in every deal.
