Dynamic Sequence Singals Threshold

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question regarding dynamic sequences; how is the “Signals” total calculated? Is it per Automated email sent or is it an sumation of all the Opens and/or clicks made through all the automated steps?

This is a great question!

The “Signals” count is not per email. It’s total engagement across the whole sequence.

So HubSpot adds up all opens and clicks from every automated email.
For example:

  • If someone opens two different emails once each, that counts as 2 opens
  • If they click any link in any email, that counts as 1 click

Once that total is reached, the signal is triggered.

So think of it as a combined total across all steps, not something tied to a single email.
