Is there a way to create a dynamic list, that would combine contacts based on either of these scenarios:
Submitted Form A prior to Submitting Form B
Was in list A priot to been added to list B
Was a Lead and then became an Opportunity or Customer
This will let us identify all the leads/contacts who submitted different forms on our various Landing Pages, prior to applying by submitting the university application form (became opportunity), versus the ones who applied directly.
Hi @fachoui, this is a great question. List logic is can be pretty tricky, but I’ve found that building highly specifc lists really helps me engage the right customers! I’ll try and address each of your scenarios below:
Submitted Form A prior to Submitting Form B: There’s not a perfect way to build this exact list. You can definitely build list based around muliple form submissions, however the refinement criteria is specifically related to dates, or the number of times a form was submitted (available refinment options are Rolling Dates, On or before date, On or after date, between dates, and Number of times). You could create a list that says “Contact Submitted Form A before Date 11/17/16” AND “Contact Submitted Form B After 11/17/16”, which would work in a very specific case, but it cannot be a generic "Contact Submitted Form B after Form A.
Was in list A priot to been added to list B: I’m not aware of any properties that indicated when a contact was added to a list, so I can’t think of a way to create list filters that would capture this information. You can easily create lists of someone who is on both lists, or of contacts who appear on List A and Not List B(and vice versa), and even a list of contacts who aren’t on either list, but the list membership does not populate a poperty for when the contact was added to a list, so it’s not possible to filter based on this information
Was a Lead and then became an Opportunity or Customer: You can definitely create this type of list though! To see a list of contacts are a current opportunity or customer, then I would set up the logic to say “Contact Property Lifecycle Stage is equal to any of Opportunity or Customer AND Contact Property Lifecycle Stage has ever been equal to Lead”. I’ve included a screenshot of the logic I used to create this list in my own profile below:
