I have set up a Duplicate Alert, but it sends me all duplicates across entire database, not just for records that I own, Please can you add a feature so I can get an alert just for my records?
Hey @AGretton,
This would be an excellent addition. There are custom coded solutions that you could put together on the more advanced plans, but you would need Ops Hub most likely.
Also wanted to share that Insycle could do this. Using Insycle’s “Merge Duplicates” module, you can run it in Preview Mode, and use “Owner = AGretton” as a filter condition. Then, you could have duplicates identified with you as the owner delivered by CSV to your email on a set schedule (daily, weekly, whatever makes the most sense for you).
Here is a little more context about Insycle’s bulk deduplication features as well, although it sounds like you are mostly interested in the notification aspect:
With Insycle, you can deduplicate contact, companies, deals, tickets, and custom ojects flexibly, using any field in your database as a matching field. You can even do more advanced things like ignoring numbers, punctuations, symbols, whitespace, etc. Then, you can define how to retain data post-merge on a field-by-field basis. Insycle templates can be automated to run on a set schedule, or even injected into Workflows so that you can ensure records are checked against existing records and duplicates identified before your first communications with a new contact take place. Here’s an article we wrote about some of the advanced ways Insycle can dedupe.
Best,
Ryan
I would also love to be able to customize the Duplicate contacts page so I can see the compared data on one page, or see who owns both contacts. I would like to be able to pull reports of the duplicate contacts. Otherwise the Duplicates contacts/companies page is useless to the admin. How am I as the admin supposed to know each of the scenarios to the individual contacts or companies. Only the account owner would know those intricacies and I would have them check that out to get it fixed, but I can’t easily tell who owns the companies to assign it to them. I have already hit my 5000 contact limit in Hubspot and we have only been using it for 1 year. But, since I have no way to assign them to a user to check them and fix it, the problem still persists!!!
