# Download Backup via API

It would be very convenient for administrators if they could manage (list) and download daily and weekly backups via the API. This would save a significant amount of manual effort. We don’t see the data security argument as a valid excuse, since API keys must be regenerated whenever an administrator leaves the system anyway.
