Document tracking for the marketing function would be great. The goal would be to show how many times and how long an individual contact has viewed or accessed a file, such as a pdf download that was sent through HubSpot. I believe Marketo has this feature, but HubSpot’s right now is limited to the sales function only.

100% agree! This is a major feature gap in HubSpot. We host our PDFs on our WordPress site for consumption. Even if we hosted PDFs using uploaded files in HubSpot, it is the same result - we cannot track engagement with our contacts. At this point, we are only able to track PDF downloads in GA4 using custom reporting, but it only shows us aggregate metrics. The only way this works is if you create an individual CTA for each PDF in HubSpot, which for us is a monumental task due to the number of PDF content files we have.

This is a severely lacking feature option in HubSpot by not having native PDF tracking. This needs to be prioritized in my opinion.
