DNS Error 1001 (DNS Records Correct)

Hello, I updated my DNS records a few months ago, with GoDaddy as the domain host, but am unable to visit my website.

I get the DNS Resolution Error 1001, and have already checked and updated my DNS records several times. GoDaddy detects no issues on their end, but HubSpot is getting errors.

I have also gone on whatsmydns and found that the A records have been propogated with the correct IP addresses.

When it comes to the CNAME record, however, it appears to point to a different URL.

When I visit the URL, I get the following error.

So, I am not sure what to do at this point. I have already contacted GoDaddy support and they have redirected me to HubSpot since the issue appears to be the cloudflare that is hosting the website. Though it’s possible that there is a hidden setting that is causing the issue.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hey @Fabi0, Happy Monday!

Based on the information you provided, it seems that the CNAME record may be pointing to a different URL, which could be causing the DNS Resolution Error 1001 and the subsequent issues when visiting the URL. It’s important to ensure that all DNS records, including the CNAME, are correctly configured to point to the intended destinations.

Since GoDaddy has redirected you to HubSpot and mentioned the possibility of Cloudflare hosting the website, it might be worth reaching out to Cloudflare support as well. They can assist you in checking any hidden settings or configurations that might be affecting the DNS resolution.

In the meantime, double-checking the CNAME record to ensure it’s pointing to the correct URL could be a good next step.

Let us know how it works.
