How can I see the NAME (not ID) of the Latest Source Drill-down 2 field in a report, in the same way, you can see the NAME (not ID) in a view on the contact list?

Hey @MQuinn, thanks for reaching out!
Are you referring to the name of the HubSpot user? Like you’re seeing something like “userId:XXXXXXX?”
If so, I’m seeing the same thing on my end — the specific HubSpot user and their profile picture appear in the contacts view, but it’s just that internal ID within HubSpot reports.
All I’m seeing in the HubSpot documentation here is:
Source drill-down 2: The Source drill-down 2 property value provides the most specific context related to a contact’s source. This value is typically the exact name or ID of the specific piece of content from which the contact originated, such as a website URL, the name of an import file, or the name of a marketing email.
@kvlschaefer is there anything we’re missing here?
Hi Jolle,
It’s not always the user ID. Depending on the Latest Source, it could be an Import, and in the case, it gives you the ID and the name of the import.
Hey everyone,
Thanks for adding me to this conversation, @jolle!
@MQuinn - This is a great question!
I believe this is happening because you will need to use the internal value of the “Latest Source Drill-down 2” and not the label.
If you have an example contact with this value you should be able to check the internal value of this by going to View all properties > Search for the property > click the “i” bubble for the ID.
Here’s an example of an imported contact in my CRM:
Then you’ll need to add the internal value to the latest source drill-down 2 in the reporting filters in addition to any other properties you would like to display in the report such as drill down 1.
Here’s how the report looks in my account!
For the created by users report, I would recommend following @MrJustinGivens suggestion!
I hope this helps! ![]()

This is the report I was able to create using the Custom Report Builder.
Here are the filters:
Here are the columns I used:
If this is the correct, don’t forget to mark it as the solution so other people can easily find the answer.

Hello! Thank you for your replies. There are a number of reasons why these suggestions do not work. As far as the user ID, for this field, we do not care who is tied to the source. We are trying to determine what source has been successful in getting qualified leads and where we should spend our money next quarter or next year. A good example is when we attend a conference, we import the names we collect at our booth as leads. In the report, it says “Import”, and drill-down 2 shows the name of the import, whereas the report shows the ID it was assigned - which is useless in a report.
It sounds like I have to track down manually what each source ID is and input it into the filter. This seems like a lot of manual work. I am surprised this much manual work has to be done to produce a valuable report.
I have a client where we were experiencing a similar issue with imports.
To solve for this, we created custom properties for “Original Lead Source” and “Recent Lead Source” which references the original and latest drill down properties but customizes the data as needed. For example, the org participants in offline events where prospects are meeting with sales reps onsite. These individuals are captured in a spreadsheet and uploaded into HubSpot. We then run that import list through a workflow that sets the custom properties with appropriate data that is useful for their reporting.
I wonder if you could accomplish the same thing with a custom property where you COPY the original source drill down 2 to that custom property so you maintain the name of the import that can be used in reports (vs. the import ID).
Would this help?
We have done a very similar customization and workflow! I am curious why you have “Enter SF Campaign Name”. Are you able to pull the actual campaign into a workflow?
