We want to make it mandatory to work with the products in the product library. At this moment there is no option to prevent users from adding custom products to a deal.
Please provide the possibility to hide the ‘Add custom line item’ option when creating or editing line items on a deal.
We don’t use Products or the Catalog and as we train new users about how to enter a new Deal, they often get caught up with the section asking them to “Add a Line Item.” We think you should be able to remove this from the “Create a Deal” view.
I have the same need as @ddobrien2 but would like to still allow some supervisor accounts with the ability to create custom items. As a sales manager, I would like to limit who can create custom line items in Deals and quotes, so I can be sure that the correct product specifications and descriptions are provided to the customer.
This is essential. Need to limit who can create custom line items. You can turn the setting on or off, but can’t control for users or teams.
