Hello,

I want to narrow down the form submission trigger with one of the following: URL domain, base URL or URL path. The problem is that I can’t understand which one. Can you help me understand the difference?

I have to narrow the trigger with the part of the URL after the domain - for example, \* Link removed by Community team for security reasons\* - I need to use the part with askingquestions. Do I set the trigger like: URL path contains askingquestions?

I hope this makes sense…

Hey @KristinRigova, Happy Friday!

The URL path is the part after the domain, so this setting will ensure the form submission is triggered correctly. I want to invite our top experts to share their thoughts.

@Brenner and @himanshurauthan do you have any recommendations for @KristinRigova matter?

Thank you,

Pam

Hello, @KristinRigova !!

Yes! Your question make sense:

Here’s my help:

\> URL Domain: the URL domain is the part of the web address that identifies the website. For example, in `https://www.example.com/page`, the URL domain is `www.example.com`.

\> Base URL: the base URL typically refers to the primary part of your web address that includes the protocol (http/https) and the domain—essentially the homepage or the main entry point of your site (e.g., `https://www.example.com`). In some contexts, “base URL” can be used interchangeably with URL domain, but the distinction matters if your website is hosted within a specific subdirectory or if you want to be very precise about where the content is coming from.

\> URL Path: The URL path is the part of the URL that comes after the domain. For example, in `https://www.example.com/landing-page`, the URL path is `/landing-page`.

About your question, I can’t see your example because the community has hidden your link (see your previously post).

Thank you @PamCotton , for tagging me here!
