Did HubSpot just remove the ability to append values through workflows?

Last week I created a workflow that appends to a multiselect property on an associated record. When I opened up the workflow today, the option to append is no longer available, only “Replace”, “Remove” and “Clear”. However, if you look at the action card, it still says “Append”.

Tried creating a new workflow and “Append” is no longer available. Looking at the KB article, it seems like they’ve removed the option (KB last updated 28th August 2026, being last week).

This update is really messing things up for us.

I’ve reported is a bug and waiting response from support team, but if it is expected behaviour, I’m not sure how to navigate around this? We have a lot of append workflows currently up and running.

Hi @Monjogard,

This is a known bug - I recently flagged this with HubSpot support as well. Appending works on the same object but not across objects (as in your case). As far as I know, the product team has this on their list.

Glad to hear it’s a bug! Did a test and existing workflows are still “appending” as long as you don’t edit them. So will sit tight then.
