Dial calls to people not in contacts

Hi, is it possible to make a call to someone who is not in contacts? Basically just dial the number and call?

Hi @OliEventtia It’s not possible to direct dial from the CRM at this time. The CRM is designed to track 1:1 communications between your sales team and prospects. Direct dial calling is not part of normal use case scenario. Could you provide an example of how you use direct dial in the portal, or why it would be beneficial to you?

Hi Ed,

Thank you for getting back to me on this one. The reason for this would be for a one time call to someone who is obviously linked to the business but not necessarily worthy of being added as a contact. But it is not a main issue to be fair.

I do want to ask however, are browser calls charged anything extra? or will they reflect on the associated number’s phone bill? I noticed through the app the call happens on mobile network, I was expecting it to be via internet connexion.

Hi @OliEventtia Browser call are not charged extra. However calls made through the CRM by you cell phone are charged dould due to the nature of the phone calls. Find out more here.

Sometime, yopu need to call contacts with alternate numbers as a one-off that are not in the system. It’s most convenient to call from the platform. Obviously, it’s technologically possible so why not just do it?
