Deleting A Deal Stage

Hi HubSpot Support,

I am trying to delete a deal stage named “Active Dialogue.” I have moved all deals out of this stage and triple checked both my pipeline report and all deals report, and there are no deals showing in this stage anywhere.

When I first view the pipeline, it correctly shows that there are no deals in “Active Dialogue.” However, when I click the “Manage your pipelines and stages here” link, the settings page displays 2 deals in this stage.

When I click on the 2, it redirects me back to my Active Deals view, but there are still no deals appearing in “Active Dialogue.”

It seems like this may be a glitch or a data sync issue. Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround to fully remove the stage?

Hi @JStefanski0,

The number 2 in “Used in” is not referring to deal records, it is referring to filtered views that reference this stage - typically as a filter or column in that view. You need to remove the filter or column, then save the view. The counter should then go down to 0.

It’s hard to say what exactly it is, not being able to see or access the views – but it’s definitely something about the view you land in when you click on the hyperlink. Something in there is still a reference to the “Active Dialogue” stage.
