Hi [@dear\_co](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/48842),

If you create a new contact property with the same internal value name, the information will come back. The property is not deleted, it is just no longer available in app, so if you essentially call it back into the app by recreating a property with the same internal value, the information will repopulate.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Thank you,

Jenny

Hi, I have had a similar issue take place. Only thing is, I am unsure who deleted the properties. I just tried to re-create the property with the same internal value but the values did not appear.
Any other way I could retrieve the property?

Hi @Skhan,

Recreating the property with the internal name is the only way to retrieve the data.

Hi Jenny,

What about a Hubspot default property?

I have deleted “close date” which is a default deal property by Hubspot.

How can I have it enabled again?

Cheers,

Luis F.

Hi @luisflo,

You should be able to recreate the property with the same internal value.

Thank you,

Hi,

I am trying to recreate a deleted default property and keep getting the following errors/warnings:

 ![HubspotError.jpg](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/0/7/07ab60f0f319d8bfe97eb5320d90014ffeaf6526.jpeg)

How can I restore this property?

Hi [@barry\_puddephat](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/80846),

I can see you are working with the HubSpot Technical Support team regarding this matter. Continuing to partner with the Support team will be the most direct way to resolve this matter.
