Delete form submissions

It is very important that we have a way to either/or - preferably both of the following
1 - Delete form submissions
2 - Block analytics from tracking contacts in Hubspot based on their “exact match” or “contains x” in email - not IP, as we know the remote working - which is now normal - doesn’t work with IP.
We are required to test form submissions and chatbots 100s of times internally before they go live. When reporting on contacts with the most activity our testers are skewing the results. While we are able to delete these contacts - it is important that we are able to delete individual submissions.
Appreciate an update on when this feature will be put in place @Tom - without it, we might have to look for a new solution for our enterprise clients, as the reporting is really messed up. Thank you kindly!

Just giving this request another bump. This would be a useful feature for me.

How does this feature not exist? I’m floored.

@Tom I hope you’re well. It looks like there have been several passionate responses on this thread since your post one year ago.

A few people have tried to tag you, and the conversation appears to be ongoing with the same energy. I was wondering if you’ve had a chance to read any of the responses to your Sept. 2020 post and if anything has changed on the HubSpot end.

Thank you!

Might as well tag @Joementum as well as he was one of the ones who gave a slight glimmer of hope this would be fixed back in 2020. This really could use another look, baffling how something that affects core functionality like this is ignored.

why is this almost 400 votes idea not implemented yet?

This is such a rudimentary request. Any reporting tool would allow for this. Or at the very least, allow us to tag a submission as a test and have it not counted (especially if it comes from an email on our domain). HubSpot Tom saying this feature would “negatively impact reporting” sounds like the team just doesn’t want to have to figure out how to add the feature and would rather gaslight us into thinking this is a bad idea lol.

Yes, this would be so helpful! Also sometimes people fill out the same form twice.

This would be very helpful. We test all of our forms. These shouldn’t impact our metrics.

Hi, is there an update on this feature? I don’t see the option to delete test responses to a form. Thanks

We have a case where we’ve been tracking logins on our platform as a form submission. Over time we’ve had users who logged in more than a 1000 times, which has meant that they now have reached the form submission limit on a contact level, and we can now no longer track form submissions on their contact pages. These contacts are as their # of logins suggest some of our most important customers, why it is super important that we can track forms on their contacts.
We understand that logging logins as a form submission wasn’t the way to go, but there must be a way to delete those forms. If not available for admins, then at least for HubSpot support. It doesn’t make any sense that almost everything else but forms can be deleted. In essence a bunch of our most important clients are now rather useless for automations and tracking based on forms.

This is a high need.

It may not work in all cases, but if it is a new form you can create a form as you need it. Test it. Clone it and then delete the original. Then relink the new form.

That’s a lot of extra work each time I create a form, for something that should have been done properly in the first place.

HubSpot should know, we are in the process of moving away from the platform because this feature is not available. Not waiting any longer.

Please add this feature. We are using Hubspot forms for our industry standard reporting, and we need to be able to delete submissions created by our team.

Hi Everyone,

I am the Product Manager for the Forms product.

I would like to inform you that we are actively looking into this need and I will keep this thread updated once we move forward on this.

Hey @Tom,

What do you mean by “this would negatively effect reporting and analytics within the forms tool”? The fact that we cannot remove test submissions is exactly what has the negative effect on reporting and analytics.

Also: “We don’t currently have anything planned to allow “fake” or test submissions on our forms.” - Then how are we supposed to check if our forms work as we expect them? I really don’t understand these “explanations”.

Thanks in advance for the clarification!

Cheers,

Misu
