A user that has “everything” enabled on view, edit and delete is unable to delete a contact from the list. When selecting the contact the delete option is grayed out. Permission all checked, and tryed logging out and back in. ---

In the permissions have you tried allowing bulk delete as well? That should then allow to delete from the contact list page.
