Delayed Actions in Workflows - Business Days

We need the option to Build a Delay in Workflows that counts Business Days, not just Days. You have the option in manual creation of tasks, why not automation? This decreases the functionality of this Service a lot.

It would be great to delay workflows by ‘business days’, or even within business hours. This is already an option for tasks eg: “3 business days” with a selectable alert/send time.

It would really help authenticate plain text emails sent to clients from workflows! At the moment, they are receiving automated mailers from our company based on the time and date they enrolled into a workflow. This is out of our control and so they will receive emails outside of business hours which ruins the authenticity of someone sending it personally. This can be very damaging for our brand. And there is no manageable workaround for this for workflows that are months/years long!

Do I need this bad. Given that the logic is already being applied for sequences, I would think it would not be hard to do for workflows.

My team has been asking for this for years. This would be so beneficial to us. We enroll someone in a workflow when they submit a form. Then we’d love to delay the next step ONE BUSINESS DAY instead of just 1 day as it currently is on the Workflow Delay settings. If they filled out a form on a Friday, I really don’t want the next step to happen on a Saturday. The only other option currently available is to wait for a specific day, like Monday. But that’s a bit dangerous. If they filled out the form on a Tuesday, then that’s almost a week before they get that next step. I’d hate to have to set a condition based on each day a form was submitted. Just having business days as an option would alleviate all of this.

Wish I could upvote that more than once! This seems like pretty basic functionality.

Picking the day of the week is not helpful. If we want to send something the next business, we have no idea when someone may enter the workflow, so by picking a specific business day, the delayed action could be anywhere between 1 and 6 calendar days.

upvote! must have as no sense in counting weekends in delays, especially for workflows only triggering actions during weekdays

rrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaah why do we have that option only for tasks! I just looked it up on google and i’m sure most people upvoting the first task business day delay where probably also thinking of this… catastrophic

This would be a great addition to the workflows! We hope we can see this very soon implemented.

Desperately need this. I would also upvote more than once.

Any update on this?

This would be very helpful for our business. Please look into this.

Yes, we absolutely need this too. It’s going to get so confusing to calculate the calendar days in the delays vs. the business days of the tasks. Please add this!

This would be very helpful, please add this!

this needs to be implemented ASAP - we deal with school teachers and can only contact them during school hours; there is no point in being able to set up a workflow to run actions during specified times but not also the delays. this is long overdue (this was first suggested almost 2 years ago, why hasn’t it been done yet?)

It is shocking this is not a feature. We are chasing customers every two days, but we dont want to chase over the weekend. This seems so simple, and necessary.

It keeps coming up in all of my conversations when building marketing nurturing journeys. So bizzare this is not available given HubSpot’s marketing power

I keep coming across this limitation everytime we build nurturing funnels with customers. A lot of comms are more effective if sent on a business day as opposed to a weekend and come across less imposing. Super critical feature for the marketing hub

Agreed; this is very important for B2B companies. We don’t work during weekends, so it’s weird if people receive emails on Saturday or Sunday.

Would be really useful for us - we have a number of workflows that would benefit from this.

Seems weird that this was suggested two years ago and not implemented yet. Is it that difficult?

I need to trigger marketing emails to customers in our sales pipeline based on their stage. The workflow includes delays and branches to check if the deal is stuck in the same stage. I need these emails to drip to the customer every 3 days for 8 email sends, but can’t figure out how to set these email drips for business days only.

I can set the workflow to only run actions on weekdays, but this doesn’t apply to the delays?? That’s troublesome. Definite upvote, please expand Business Days Only to other aspects beyond Sequences.
