In a recent update, the built-in deal stage change notification email templates were updated and the deal name was removed from the subject line.
Previously a user would receive an email with the subject line “A deal you are following - 'Deal name token - has been moved to the ‘Closed Won’ stage”
Now they receive an email with the subject line "A deal you are following has been moved to the ‘Closed-Won’ stage.
Removing the deal name from the subject line means every email has the same subject and there is no unique identifier for which deal this email is referring to. Users get multiple emails per hour and need to be able to quickly scan the subject line and click on a relevant email if there is a particular deal they wish to review. Before this was possible, they had to click through each email and review the body to see which deal the email is referring to.
This recent change seems like a miss and is a step backwards rather than an improvement. I would ask the product team to consider reverting it back to how it was, where useful information was being provided in the subject line.
