In the deal property for close date, how do I set it so that if it’s May 2021 now, the month in the calendar we see is June 2021? This is so there is less time spent scrolling to the right month. I also get that the month shown defaults to what is currently set based on the close date value.

Just to confirm, you want to set a default for which months is shown here? (for example not highlight today’s date but a month from now)
As far as I now, this can currently not be customized or set to a default (x days from today).
If you feel strongly about that, you could request this as a feature in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community. The product team reviews these suggestions based on popularity.
(In portals with Operations Hub Professional, workflows can be used to automatically set the Close date based on a specific number of days after the Create date.)
