For our use case I’m trying to built a workflow which check if for any new deals if our sales team doesn’t have any call activities within 24 hours then deal owner should be changed.
I’m able to achieve this workflow but here one challenge I’m facing when deal is assigned to previous Owner there is a task assigned to old Owner. For new deal owner can I assign existing task to new deal owner? Or is there a way to delete existing open task by workflow?
Hey @AJ_Kakrot unfortunately not! Tasks are a bit of a forgotten object it seems with HubSpot. You can create an object and set any values you like through workflows. Updating those tasks after the fact though however is not something that can be done.
The only workaround really is a rep workflow one. You would need reps to check the deal for it’s assignee before actioning the deal and then closing out the task if the deal has been reassigned.
@TomM2 thanks for your response. I thought of this but in our account we don’t want other reps task to be visible to other reps. Or else I would have asked reps to reassign any existing task to new deal owners.
The reason we have kept visibility on their individual tasks is because in workspace then reps are bombarded with too many tasks.
