Deal associations - eliminate the default to 5

When we email with a contact, Hubspot associates that email with the first 5 open deals.

Most of our emails are not in regards to a deal and if it is, it is always for 1 deal. (deal follow up)

We manually uncheck before sending but many are missed. Our deals are filled with unrelated emails. Then we try to clean up.

I would like this deal association to be a setting rather than a default. I would set so that either no association with deal or most recent.

I completely agree. There are multiple threads on the auto-association issue, one where it is defaulting to open tickets, here to open deals. I have the issue on the Deal side, where absolutely completely unrelated deals are now tracking email conversations with people that aren’t remotely included or relavant. This is not in any way helpful for us.
