Deal amount based by financial year

Dear Community,

Is there a way to display the deal amount by financial year based on the start date of the settlement and the settlement frequency of the assigned items as well as the closing date of the deal?

The ACV and ARR values for the items always show the values for the next 12 months, regardless of the financial year.

Hey @MartinLeibi thank you for posting in our Community!

You can start by defining the start and end dates for each financial year according to your organization’s fiscal calendar. Based on the start date of the settlement and the settlement frequency of the assigned items, calculate the total deal amount for each item. This may involve prorating the value based on the duration of the settlement period within each financial year. Distribute the total deal amount for each item across the relevant financial years based on the closing date of the deal. This ensures that the revenue is appropriately accounted for in each financial period.

To our top experts @TomM2, @Lucila-Andimol do you have any recommendations for @MartinLeibi?

Thank you,

Hey @MartinLeibi

have you set your fiscal year in HubSpot?

This will help adjust some tools in the CRM such as workflows, forecast and goals.

To set it up you need to go to settings > Account defaults > fiscal year

Here is an article with more info on how it works

hope this helps

We have also set the financial year as such. However, this does not solve our problem, as the deal amount is not accrued for recurring deals.

For example: A deal includes an item with a monthly billing frequency and a term of 24 months. The deal is ordered by the customer at the end of May 2024. A monthly price of €1,000 results in a TCV (deal amount) of €24,000. An ACV of €12,000 is now listed in HubSpot. For us, however, the amount accrued for the financial year would be relevant, i.e. €7,000 from June to December 2024.
