Dashboard - Advanced Filters - "No data to show for this time frame"

Hello,

I am looking to build a dashboard that provides visibility into the “# of Appointments” set year to date, deals won YTD based off those appointments, etc.

In each of the reports, there’s a filter of “Appointment Date” = This Year. In the dashboard, I’ve added an advanced filter off the “Appointment Date.” When I adjust the “Appointment Date” filter, I’m getting an error populated into each report of “No data to show for this time frame.”

When I go into the specific report, and manually change the filter to reflect “Last Year,” the data does populate.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on what I’m doing wrong here. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @kly1! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here

Thanks for the context and for confirming the filter works as expected outside of the dashboard environment. Are there other dashboard-wide filters enabled? I wonder if there is a conflict. Additionally, if you add this report to a new dashboard, do you get the same behavior?

Best,

Kennedy

Hi @kennedyp,

Thank you! Happy to join the community here! :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve copied the report to a new test dashboard and it is receiving the same behavior -

I do not believe I have any other dashboard-wide filters enabled; screenshot provided below:

Thank you for any other suggestions to test out. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey @kly1! Thanks for the additional context. It could be that the report configuration is not set up properly to capture any objects. Can you share a screenshot of the report itself and all filters? Any additional examples of objects you would expect in that report can be useful as well.

Each report on the dashboard is a multi-object report, but the filters that are applied on each report are on the deals only. All of the reports have a variance of the filter below:

On the dashboard itself, there are no other filters currently applied other than when I add the “Appointment Date 7.24.”

When I modify that property to any date this year, I do see the dashboard then refresh and update the reports to that filter -

However, when I set that filter to anything of “last year,” that is when the dashboard filter struggles to override the report filters.
