# Customizing the chat widget view

Hi, I’d like to be able customize some of the fields and icons on the customer facing chat widget. Items I’d like to change.

1. Ability to change the wording “Help” from the top of the chat

2. Change the “pencil & paper” icon to a speech bubble to indicate chat option

3. Allow alpha customization of “show typical reply time section”

4. Option to delete old chats from view on customer side.

I couldn’t agree more. Or, another option instead of the “pencil & paper” icon would be to simply have a “write a message” field in its place. The current setup isn’t intuitive regarding how to actually start a chat and could use a bit of love.
