Customer Portal Access and Ticket Listing Page

The customer portal is lacking much needed flexibity. Two of the blockers we really need addressed to be able to roll this out to our customers relate to how we can Assign Access to Customer Portal AND the Ticket Listing Page..

1) Assigning Access:

We need the flexibilty to assign ticket visibility “See all of My Organization’s tickets” to one subset of users AND “See only My Tickets” to a different subset of users.

As it stands now the one option we choose is applied to all users we grant customer portal access to.

For our business this is very limiting. We have instances where a person can have an email domain that would auto associate them to a Company in HubSPot but in reality their relationship with that Company is NOT as an internal employee or for other reasons they should not be able to view all tickets of the organization.

At the same time we have the need for other people at that same organiztion to have access to view all tickets associated with their organization.
2)Ticket Listing Page---->> Searching tickets and Requester name column heading

Blockers for us:

A. If the contact that submits the ticket does not have access to the customer portal the requester name is not visible(or serachable) in the Ticket Listing Page for that ticket.

**What might solve this for us is if we could add custom properties as column headings and for search. Then I am thinking at ticket creation we could save the associated contacts name or email address to a custom ticket property and put that as a column heading**(but this needs to also be availble for search).**

B. Need to be able to search for tickets on the Ticket Listing Page by custom properties such as discussed above.

Hi @DHanna4 ,

Your requirement can be easily fulfilled with WoodsPortal— a deeply integrated HubSpot app that lets you create advanced customer portals directly on HubSpot CMS pages.

1. Ticket access is controlled via association labels. So, associated tickets (or custom objects) will be visible to a user on the customer portal only if the required association label is set. Additionally, you can create a blanket rule to grant/ restrict specific users’ access to company-associated tickets.

2. Currently, search only functions with property names, but this can be expanded to include all properties. We have already tested this, and it is scheduled for a future release.

You can also create multiple portals for different subsets of users. All operations can be performed within the HubSpot UI.
