Hi HubSpot Community,

I’m building a custom extension for my public app to be used as a workflow action, and I have two questions about the UI configuration for the action:

1. **Adding a Button to Open an Iframe**
Is it possible to include a button in the action configuration UI that, when clicked, opens an iframe to load an external page (e.g., for creating a new resource in our app with user input)?
2. **Conditional Display of Dropdown Field**
I have a dropdown field in the UI whose options are fetched dynamically from an external source. If the external source returns an empty list of options, is it possible to hide the dropdown and display a custom message instead (e.g., “No lists found, please create one”)?

Any guidance or examples on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Gosiak ,

**For 1 =** Yes you can add a button in the action which will open a modal popup and in that you can include the iframe with the url you want .

You have to create App Custom card in app developer account and them use this endpoint to define the actions

> **[Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot](https://app.hubspot.com/myaccounts?next=developerdocs&redirect=%2Fapi-reference%2Fcrm-public-app-crm-cards-v3%2Fguide)**

**For 2 =** Yes using the baove endpoints you can get and set the logical operations based on the properties values accordingly.

Thank you [@Bhupendra\_Kumar](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/857649) for the answer.

Sorry, I probably used incorrect naming. I am using [https://developers.hubspot.com/beta-docs/guides/api/automation/custom-workflow-actions](https://developers.hubspot.com/beta-docs/guides/api/automation/custom-workflow-actions) not extension. Is it possible to add a button that opens iframe and hide/show inputField based on fetching outcome?

Hi @03558
Yes , you have to define the ouput fields and then these fields values can be used in further logics to do any logical operation . Like show/hide in your case.
