hi, we would like to build a custom report which shows activity from our sales team they have logged only for contacts who have opened a particular marketing email from us. We want to quantify the level of engagements this email has triggered but the custom report wont let us combine activies & m,arketing emails together. We have to take this into excel to do it manually. THis feels like this should be a basic report within a CRM. ANy ideas or is this just not currently possible?

Hi @DarrenScottUK,

There is a simple workaround here: create an active list du f contacts who opened your marketing email, then create a report with data sources contacts and activities. The contact object allows you to filter on list membership of those contacts.

The marketing email data sources are meant for other reporting use cases, I agree that this should be made more clear in descriptions and examples.

Best regards
