Custom Properties count wrong (Hubspot counting 16, but I only find 2)

I downgraded to the free tier recently and I am seeing a warning saying “You’ve used 16 out of 10 custom properties. Unlock the ability to create more custom properties with Starter Customer Platform.”

I have gone through every object one by one and searched for properties that were created by a user (as opposed to hubspot-created ones), I deleted them all except for two that I still need. The Hubspot count started at 30~ and went down to 16, but I cannot figure out where the missing 14 are?

One weird behavior I noticed as I was archiving, then deleting custom properties is that at some point the count was at 12 then rebounded to 20+, but I can’t remember after which property deletion that happened. I have looked everywhere on these forums, chatgpt and hubspot copilot.Another weird thing is that hubspot copilot says my account has 11 custom properties, when I prompt with this question. Extra mind-boggling, because 11 is still more than the 2 that I have, but less than 16 that the warning message says!

I have no access to customer support, I only get propmpted by sales people to upgrade my account so support can look into this.

If you are downgrading are you planning to leave Hubspot? If so, I would have suggested doing an export of your database before downgrading. Personally speaking the free tier is only good for testing and I wouldn’t recommend it for a production environment due to low limits, and restrictions that are not the same as on the paid tiers (ie: spam/bounce rates). Unfortunately without support may be working with someone outside giving the hub another once over, but even then there is no guarantee.

Hey, @NMohamed0 :waving_hand: Have you tried making requests to the Properties API? To return all properties for an object and then search through the response to look for the custom properties? I am happy to share a quick example of how did this if that is helpful.
