We would like to utilize workflows to make updates to our Custom Objects.

Unfortunately, these are not exposed as available to be used as Workflow triggers.

It would be a tremendous help to have that available.

I have a client looking for the same feature. They would like to use custom object properties in their workflows but this is not available at the moment.

Hi team,
Raising this for a customer as well.
Used case here, customer has multiple custom objects. However, for customer object-based workflow, one can only use triggers from that specific custom object. We would love to have more flexibility here, thank you.

Hello,

I was planning on using HubSpot Workflows to manage our platform’s Notification System by passing Custom Properties from our platform to HubSpot. I wanted to combine Contact Properties with Custom Properties in a single Workflow for this to work. Unfortunately, I can only have 1 Group of Custom Properties in a single Workflow. Had I known this, I would’ve integrated SendGrid instead.

---

Example Use Case:

A User creates an account on the Bunking Platform. This account captures basic contact information such as Full Name, Email, Phone, and Address. These Properties are synced to HubSpot Contact Properties when the account is created. The User does not complete their extended Profile by answering fields such as; Spoken Langues, Religion, Interest Categories, Personality Traits, etc. These have been created as a new Custom Property Group in HubSpot.

A flag on our API is triggered because the User has not “Completed” their Profile within 1 day of initially creating an account on the platform.

I wanted to create a single Workflow that would contain triggers of data being incomplete of both Contact Properties & Custom Properties. An email & SMS would be sent to the User with the ‘dynamic tags’ of the information that is incomplete to let the User know what information is expected to complete their profile.

Likewise! It’d be very handy to use any field as a trigger really.
To get around this, we’ve approached this in two steps:
1. Create a list using custom object fields, and use the contact’s list membership to trigger a workflow - this isn’t always useful, as it’s difficult to re-enroll contacts based on list membership, so..
2. Use the above list membership to create a date stamp on a contact, and use that field as a trigger for the workflow you orginally wanted.

I am looking for something similar. I am trying to use a custom object as a master list of the companies assets. When a deal is assigned to that asset, I would like the system to automatically pull key data from the custom object over to the deal. I have a workflow set up, but it doesn’t seem to work consistantly. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, or if it’s just not a function of the system.
