Custom Fiscal Year Labeling for Reports

We manage our fiscal year based on start dates rather than end dates. Currently, HubSpot labels fiscal quarters based on the end date of the fiscal year. For example, if our fiscal year runs from April 2024 to March 2025, HubSpot labels the quarters as Q1 2025, Q2 2025, Q3 2025, and Q4 2025.

However, for our reporting needs, we prefer to label quarters based on the start date of the fiscal year. In our example, the quarters would be labeled as Q1 2024, Q2 2024, Q3 2024, and Q4 2024. This distinction is crucial for our financial planning and reporting accuracy.

  1. Choose between labeling fiscal quarters based on the start or end date of the fiscal year.
  2. Customize the fiscal quarter labels to match our internal reporting standards (e.g., Q1 2024, Q2 2024, etc.).

I find it such a strange choice that there is only the option to label the year based on the end date, running Feb-Jan Hubspot calls Feb 2025 the first month of 2026 which is just hugely confusing.

HubSpot, please give us more freedom!
