Issue:
The CTA tool shows deleted assets as active “locations used in.” For example, if a CTA was placed on a landing page that has since been deleted, the CTA still shows that landing page as a location.
Impact:
- Makes it look like CTAs are still in use when they aren’t.
- Prevents users from confidently cleaning up old CTAs.
- Leads to wasted time manually double-checking whether a CTA is really live anywhere.
Suggested Fix:
- When an asset (landing page, email, blog, etc.) is deleted, HubSpot should automatically break the association in the CTA tool.
- Alternatively, mark deleted assets as “archived” or “inactive” in the “locations used in” list, so users can clearly see the status.
