# Cta hover text color

Hi, I wanted to have the hover effect on the cat button however, when I try the hover, I successfully change the background-color to yellow, but it fail to change the text colour to white, even though I put #FFFFFF. Is it the code of the text in the button require different code rather than ‘color:’?

I found the ans myself ald, it is because I didn’t set the text colour to the default.😅

Hi @kyKaq - thank you for the question! It’s not possible to add hover effects on the “custom CSS” section of CTAs. However, you can assign a class to your CTA, and in your stylesheet include the following.

```lia-code-sample
.myCTA:hover {
 background-color: #FED032;
 color: white;
}

```
