# CSV Import: Not supporting Chinese characters

So I was trying to import a list of deals using CSV import, and all Chinese characters have become garbled code. What can I do? Those companies have no English names… Thanks

Hey [@matthewtsh](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/10504) are you using Excel or Google sheets to create your CSV file?

HubSpot offers two import methods for special characters, they are both outlined here: [How can I include special characters in my import file?](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/contacts/how-can-i-include-special-characters-in-my-import-file)

Let me know where in this process you are hitting a roadblock 🙂
