Cross-Check list with HubSpot records

Hi everyone,

I have a list of potential partners with their names, roles, and companies. However, I don’t have the email addresses. Is there a way to do this cross-check automaticlly even not having the email? Or do I need to check each one manually?

Without the email address, it won’t be automatic, unfortunately.

If you’re familiar with the vlookup process in a spreadsheet, you could export all of your current contacts and perform a vlookup to see what already exists, but it may not be perfect as you would have so many variables such as:

  • Jon vs Jonathan
  • Jane L. Doe vs Jane Doe
  • Misspellings
  • Etc.

Once you have identified the records that already exist in HubSpot, you can upload again and use the record ID to update the existing records vs adding new versions: Import records for multiple objects

Data cleanup can be tedious, but I’ve found that going through the effort up-front can save a lot of headaches in the future.
