Hello,

I am currently on an enterprise account and struggling to find a good solution to the following request from a client:

I have a custom object named “individuals” that can associate with many records in another custom object named “members” and deals. I would like to link these and create association labels from a file that lists the unique individual ID, unique member ID, and unique account ID (that is put into the deal) and their association.

I have tried using pandas with the Hubspot API to get this to work and was not having a lot of success, and workflows seem to not be working as intended either. Does anyone have any recommendations for going about this via code or a middleware solution?

Thank you!

Hi @AHarvey11 👋

I think you should be able to achieve this via HubSpot’s Import feature. See the following HubSpot Knowledge Base Docs:

1. [Import records and activities](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/import-and-export/import-objects)
2. [Set up your import files](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/import-and-export/set-up-your-import-file)

Your import source CSV file might have the following headers:

- individual record id
- member record id
- association label (use the internal API name for the relevant label)
- _any other properties you’d like to populate for individual/members at the same time_

You’d then go through HubSpot’s Import process -- make sure to select the option relating to only updating existing records.

I hope that proves helpful. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Hi Zack,
Yes we can do that but I need something that will be automatically done as
these will be daily uploads.

Thanks for clarifying @AHarvey11

How are you envisaging the creation of these daily files? If this will be a manual job, then I still think the HubSpot Import feature could do the job (you can define associations, including custom association labels, between records as part of an import).
