Hi there,
I would be super grateful if anyone in the Community has any ideas on how I can deal with a specific use case I’m looking to address for our Education focussed business.
For our specific Lead Gen activities it’s super valuable for us to understand the School that a lead attends or, more commonly, their child attends. We have therefore created an integration with Google Places and HubSpot forms, whereby the Leads autocompletes the school address, using Google Places, and we are returned school information as hidden fields in the form.
However, as a next step, I would like to do the following with the data from the Goolge Places API:
1. Check whether a School with a corresponding Google Places ID exists in our system.
2. Create a new Company Record if one doesn’t exist.
3. Associate the Lead that completes the form with the existing or new school.
This is obviously difficult with HubSpot as it stands so I was wondering if anyone has any work arounds or ideas as to how I might achieve this. We use Salesforce, which would allow me to achieve this with the likes of Zapier, but I won’t get the attribution I’d like to access by using HubSpot.
Thanks to the community in advance.
Hi @Immerse22,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I found a thread where a similar topic is discussed here, so I think the people who participated in it might have some ideas or workarounds for your specific use case.
Let’s consult with some of our experts! Hi - @Kevin-C @LMeert @himanshurauthan do you have any thoughts for @Immerse22 on this?
Thanks and best wishes for the holiday season! ![]()

Hi and the @DianaGomez,
The thread you referenced is exactly why we are keen to go down the Google API route - getting clean, structured data for schools is a real challenge and the Google Places API seems to solve it in most cases.
@Kevin-C @LMeert @himanshurauthan If you have any ideas on how we can then take the next step of associating a Lead and Company that would be much appreciated.
