Creating a property based on timestamp of other property

Is there a simple way to create a property for accounts based on the date a different property got a value. Similar to how Hubspot makes timestamps as deals move deal stages.

yes, you can create your custom timestamps too

Yes, this can be achieved with workflows. For example, if you wanted to capture the date when the first name of a contact becomes known, it could look like this:

A few things to keep in mind:

  • When turning the workflow on, keep in mind that enrolling all existing records will give them all today’s date. Consider only enrolling records that meet the criteria after you enable the workflow.
  • Historical data cannot be populated via workflow, you would have to export and re-import the property history: Organize, delete, and export properties
  • By default, HubSpot will capture the first time the value becomes known. If you want it to update as the value changes, you would have to enable re-enrollment.
