Brand new user looking for some basic reporting help. I want to run a report showing all Deals we’ve had with companies based in Chicago. How can I do this?
Alternatively, I’d settle for a Contact report showing any contacts who reside in Chicago. is this possible?
This is trickier that it sounds - at least without some of HubSpot’s paid tools.
Out of the box, deals don’t have city information on them.
Contact or company records may, depending on how they were input into the system.
Cross object reporting - using a company or contact property like city to report on another object like deals - is a paid feature.
You could also use workflows to copy contact or company city data to your deals - again, a paid feature.
A report of contacts in a city is easier (standard contact views, lists or even reports) can do this, if your contacts have the city data in them. Contacts who fill in HubSpot forms will have their IP city present, but manually entered contacts will only have what you put in the system.
While there is no possibility to filter Deals by the Companies properties, you can export Deals with their related Companies data and include city into the export file. This can be done using Import2 Wizard solution.
You can filter your CSV, later on, to show only needed information. Here is an example of how Deals cross object export works: https://youtu.be/RwoZ2RD3Q8c
And if you wish you can filter the export of Contacts to include only contacts who have Chicago indicated as a city, here is an overview of how filtering on export works with Import2 Wizard: https://youtu.be/DACpe5SmCac
