Creating a Contact from an RingCentral integration and unknown caller

Hello - Anyone know if there’s a switch to flip that will allow unknown callers to create a Contact on the fly from the RingCentral integration? It would save time to be able to just add the name and the call notes immediately.

I wanted to share a related thread from the Ring Central Forum and this setup guide from Ring Central which outlines how Ring Central creates contacts in HubSpot.

On page 26, there is a snippet on Anonymous calls. “If the call is Anonymous, the app will create a new contact named “Anonymous” and log the call under the new contact. All anonymous calls will be logged under this contact afterward.”

As this integration is owned and developed, by Ring Central, I would recommend contacting their support team or their Community Forum to verify if this is possible for unknown callers.

Thanks Kristen - so that screen shot I included and the error are likely being thrown by RingCentral you’re confirming, correct? Make sense, guess I’ll give them a try. Thanks

That’s correct -- this is a contact creation error from Ring Central.

I’m not sure exactly what it’s related to, but their team should be able to confirm what causes the error and if there’s a fix for it for unknown callers.
