Hi, Angela, There’s no way to create a Quote without a Deal. Could you please elaborate on what the use case for that might be, as that might prompt some ideas? Thanks, Eli ---

I have an existing customer/contact wanting to order some hardware. I am not in sales and my transactions are not tracked or relevant to any pipeline, so I want to just create a quick Quote without creating a Deal. When I go to create the Quote I can not get past this: [cid:484acbe6-136a-43cc-a1f3-eb56840e5268] Is there a way I can bypass or add “Not Required” to the drop down menu? ---

Hi, Angela, Thank you for the prompt response. Can you please re-upload the photo as this one didn’t come up? What comes to mind straight away is for you to create a dummy deal that will be clearly indocated as being a dummy one, i.e. it won’t be tracked in reports, etc. however, it will give you the option to create a quote against that deal. It can automate quotes from Contacts without needing a Deal in the following way: 1. User can click a button in the HubSpot contact page and generate the quote, this quote can prefill some basic info from the contact. 2. [Optional] Then the HubSpot user can add their customisation to the quote. e.g. open the quote from HubSpot and enter the order details. 3. Then the quote can be converted to a PDF and optionally automatically sent to the customer. Does that sound helpful? Great News @ALieber you can now [create Quotes from Contact & Company](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/quotes/use-quotes#:~:text=Create%20a%20quote%20from%20a%20contact%2C%20company%2C%20or%20deal%20record) record pages expanding beyond deals. This is Live now for all hubs and tiers. ### **What is it?** Quotes were previously only available on deal record pages. Now, you can view and create quotes directly from Contact and Company record pages as well. ### **Why does it matter?** You can now view & create quotes from Contact and Company record pages, making it easier and faster to view your quote data all in one place. ### **How does it work?** From the Contact or Company record page, you will now see quotes in the right-hand sidebar. From there, you can click “add” and the quote editor will launch with the first step of selecting a deal. The quote will auto-fill the contact and company associated with the selected deal and will only show up on the contact and company record that is associated to the published quote. ---

This should not be marked as the accepted solution. There is STILL no way to create a quote without a deal. Yes, you can associate the quote with a company or a contact, but it MUST be associated with a deal in order for it to be publishable and therefore viewable by the customer.
