is it possible to create leads from an active list or a lead score trigger instead of just the lifecycle stage? We have a lot of upsell opportunities so some contacts are already listed as customers and we don’t want to reset the lifecycle stage. We also already have thousands of leads in our system so just marking them as ‘lead’ won’t work -- unless I’m missing something?

Yes, this can be done with a simple contact-based workflow.
- Create a contact workflow: Create workflows
- In the enrollment criteria, select “When filter criteria is met”, then click “List membership” and find your list and/or “Contact properties” to find your score
- Once you’re happy with the criteria, click the + sign below the enrollment box to add an action and look for “Create record” and select lead
