'Create contact' form not showing in Outlook

I understand we can have our ‘contact form’ appear in the Outlook panel when we create new contacts. I have the form in Hubspot with our customer fields. In the Outlook extension, it only allows me to create a contact in the CRM. I then have to go into Hubspot CRM to add the addition form items. I have seen this in a demo and on a few YouTube videos. What am I missing?

Hi @SCoats,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

Just to clarify, you’re looking to add more details to your new contacts directly from the Outlook page, right? If that’s the case, I’ve got the information you need to walk you through the process, starting from connecting the extension to effortlessly adding additional information for new users on the Outlook page. You can trust that all this data will be seamlessly transferred to your contact records in HubSpot.

1. Set up the Outlook desktop add-in

2. Use contact profiles with the HubSpot Sales Office 365 add-in and Outlook desktop add-in

Please let me know if this is what you were looking for or if there is a specific part of the process that is not working for you. Feel free to share any screenshots so that I can thoroughly investigate the issue.

Thanks,

Diana

Thanks for the reply. Howerer the links you provide do not address my question.

I have a contact form in HubSpot. The fields that I have added are not show when I click the ‘Add to HubSpot’ button. I have seen this in a YoiuTube video and I do not want my users to have to go into HubSpot later to edit/add this information.

Hi @SCoats, thanks for the reply.

In order for me to address your query correctly, could you kindly provide me with more information?

Could you kindly share the YouTube video link for us to evaluate whether this is something we previously had or have recently updated. Also the screenshots of the place where the fields that you have created are not showing when clicking " Add to HubSpot" button.

Thank you in advance,

Diana

Thanks for the reply.

Here is the YouTube video: (29) Hubspot Sales Hub Integration To Outlook Complete Guide - Hubspot Sales Tools Tutorial - YouTube

Thank you for the video! I believe the confusion lies in the fact that you expect to see a form you created in HubSpot, in your outlook account.

What you need is to add the right properties in the right place so they would appear in outlook. This process has to be done by every user and would depend on what they want to see in outlook. Or they could select the option account default to all see the same.

Here is a tutorial with the steps.

Select properties in HubSpot to show in outlook

This is very helpful. Thank you!

However, I created custom fields for contacts. How do I get them to appear as well?

Hi @SCoats,

I’m glad to hear that this has been helpful for you. Regarding your second question, by any chance, have you checked in the place I showed you to see if those properties appear? All you need to do is type in the name in the search option or looking for them in each group properties, and if they appear, you can add them in the same way.

I’ll be here, keeping an eye out for any updates or further questions you may have.

Best regards,

Diana
