Create a separate 'Send double opt-in email' toggle for Meeting Link submissions

Currently, when prospects engage with us for the first time and book a meeting via the Hubspot Meeting Link they receive an email asking them to verify their email address as part of the double opt-in process.

This email also includes a link to “unsubscribe”, which creates a poor customer experience because they had not signed up to anything besides a meeting and is likely against EU GDPR rules.

I would like a separate ‘Send double opt-in email’ toggle to be created for Meeting Link submissions please because, as I understand it, the meetings link submission is also considered a form which is why it has the same functionality.

You would not anticipate someone who agrees to a meeting would then submit a fake email address, and so it invalidates the need for this process for this type of form submission.
Many thanks,
Jonathan

I’ve also encountered this issue, and agree that users need to be able to turn off the “Send double opt-in email” for meeting link submissions.

From a business standpoint, using the Meetings feature to schedule time with prospective clients should be as seamless as possible. Having new non-marketing contacts receive the opt-in email is clunky and makes them feel as though they’ve inadvertantly signed up for more than they intended to. As a marketer, I want to have the double opt-in feature turned on for the marketing intake channels because I believe it’s a best practice. But we have to turn it off everywhere so the sales process is protected.
