Hello! Is it possible to create a list when someone clicks on a specific link in a marketing email? (marketing hub starter)
Using the links to track what people are interested in to better reach out to them
Hi @AmberSpencer happy to help! Yes, it’s possible to create a list based on a specific link in a marketing email.
Here’s how:
1 - create a Contact Based List
2 - choose “Marketing Emails” as the filter group:
3 - select the email from the list that you want to use
4 - click the “Any link” dropdown to change the choice to a specific link:
Links will only show in this dropdown if they are unique within the email.
I’ve confirmed this filter is available in a Free account, so it’s available at all tiers.
Thank you so much!
you’re welcome @AmberSpencer, happy to help!
Hi @Jnix284, I was wondering if I could ask a follow up question?
I would like to create a list from contacts who have sent a specific link in an email. But I have not sent the email yet so it is not showing in the workflows area above. Does the email need to be sent before I am able to create this specific workflow?
Many thanks!
Liz
I don’t want to hijack the thread, but I have a series of emails that I send out weekly and would love an automatic workflow to be attached to each of these emails that sends notifications to the contact owners when a customer clicks a link in the email. Is that possible on a reoccurring basis without minimal effort?
@ZoeCohen happy to help, although it would be better to create a new post since this isn’t directly related to the original question. Feel free to tag me in your post. The TLDR; is that yes, it’s possible but depends on your HubSpot subscription.
Hi, I have a follow-on question. I’m building a list of folks who’ve clicked a lower-funnel email, such as a product email saying “now in stock.” We’d like to show the name of the email in the results list, but I can’t get it to show the email name when I add the column “marketing emails clicked.” It shows up blank.
Is there a way to show the exact email clicked in the column? I don’t want to have to have separate lists for these if I can help it. Thanks.
Hi @MManson I’ve just come across your reply in thread to a post that was already solved, just a heads up that unless you tag someone or create a new post, replies to existing threads are not making it through via notifications (at least from what I’ve experienced).
It’s usually best to create a new post with your question and then link to any other posts that may be related for additional context.
Were you able to get the marketing emails to populate in the filters for the list? If not, can you provide more information with screenshots please.
