We have different Company categories e.g. prospect, customer, partner, etc., and I have created a custom field for deals “Associated Partner” as we have deals in which our company is brought in by one of our partners or our company brings a partner in. Is there a way to have the “Associated Partner” field as a Multichoice field that lists companies we have labeled as Partner?

There is absolutely a way to do this.
1. If you head to the large Cog in the top right of your Hubspot Portal and navigate to the “Properties” Option.
2. It sounds like you are trying to utilize this as a deals property so select the Deal property from the drop-down.
3. Create a new property by clicking the orange button in the top right corner.
4. Then name the property “Associated Partner” as you indicated that was the name you want.
5. On the next page utilize the Dropdown Select option
6. Once the dropdown has loaded, Select Load Options and then select Copy from Property. You can then choose all the company properties you want to copy over to this one. Such as prospect, customer, partner, etc.

7. The result will look like this on the Deal Information sidebar.

Just to confirm, you would like to have multiple checkboxes field on the deal record which dynamically updates its options with all the names of companies which are associated partners? If so, this is unfortunately not possible.
With the exception of the HubSpot user field type, HubSpot properties can’t look anything up and don’t update dynamically. If you wanted an automatic behavior like the one you described, it would have to be developed as an app based on the API.

(Generally it sounds like you would like to see on a deal which partners this deal is associated with. Have you considered associating the deal with the partner company and using association labels to describe this relationship?
