Hi all, I wanted to check with the community on a project I’m working on to see if Hubspot is the right platform to use…
I’m looking to create a distribution company profile by territory to include specific data points and information like:
- Country
- Sales data (past & projected)
- List top 3 retailers in their network
- of those 3 it would include % of total distributor business, online vs instore revenue, account manager, brands sold, etc
Essentially a one page overview of a country distributor, what business they do, who are their top retailers and what business do they do.
Any help appreciated!
Hi @JCunningham14 for companies in HubSpot, you can create custom properties to track any data that you’ll need for reporting.
Once the properties are created, you can either populate it manually (via sales), through forms (via marketing), through an integration that provides the data (via apps), or from another source (via API).
The properties could then be used in reporting, based on what you’re looking for - the best option would be to customize the Company CRM record with CRM Cards that pull the info you want into a concise report directly on the record.
CRM Cards add flexibility to serve any information you need for object records directly in HubSpot (even from outside sources).
Importanto to keep in mind: almost everything at HubSpot is based on the property fields you create.
If property fields contain all the information that you want to include in those mentioned reports, probably you will be able to use them.
After having your most important property fields fully populated, filters are the next step, in order to have exact information you need to show through your panels.
There are some important automatically populated property fields that you´ll probably know, called Timestamps. e.g. Close Date, Create Date, time in a certain stage, date to become an opportunity, etc.
If you keep an eye on these, you´ll have much more information that’ll help you to make better decisions.
I hope my answer helps, and don’t hesitate contacting me if you’d like to discusse furthermore.
