I’m submitting this suggestion following a conversation with HubSpot Support, who confirmed that the current CPQ quote configuration does not allow reducing the spacing between sections.
Problem
When exporting a quote to PDF, each section (header, addresses, line items, totals, signature, payment terms) is separated by large fixed spacing that cannot be adjusted. A simple quote with 2–3 line items currently spans 3 PDF pages, even though the content would comfortably fit on 1 page.
The only parameter currently available is “Line height,” which does not address this issue.
Feature request
An option in the quote template settings to choose a layout density:
- Standard (current spacing)
- Compact (reduced padding and margins between sections)
Alternatively, giving developers the ability to freely edit the CSS of quote templates in the Design Manager, including spacing between sections.
Business impact
For agencies and SMBs sending quotes regularly, a clean and compact PDF that fits on 1–2 pages is important for a professional client experience. A quote that unnecessarily spans 3 pages with large white spaces can undermine the perceived quality of the document.
