I wanted to ask if there’s a way to count the total number of sales emails that have bounced in HubSpot. Specifically, I’m looking for either a built-in report, a filter, or any other method that can help track this for sales emails (not marketing emails).
Has anyone implemented a good way to do this — perhaps through custom reports, workflows, or lists?
Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
below one is not working fine: is there any other way around?
@ENadeem “The email address in the to field failed validation.” This means that HubSpot did not try to send the email, the address is invalid. Without a send, there cannot be a bounce.
i am getting this error upon sending email because email is bounced due to wrong address but still it is not getting enrolled even the hs property of marketing emails bounced is not getting updated
In your screenshot, the explanation reads “The email address in the to field failed validation”, which means that HubSpot didn’t even send the email. In other words, the email address is invalid and not even suitable for sending. Hence no send attempt and also no bounce. You would identify these email addresses through the field “Invalid email”.
The “Marketing emails bounced” property in your second screenshot is also not the the property you’re setting in your workflow.
yes i have mentioned that even hubspot default property is not being update whereas marketing email was bounced too, i am testing it using an invalid email address , and contact is not being enrolled and even hs default property of marketing emails bounced is not working
@ENadeem there is no bounce when an email is not even sent – in your screenshot, it’s visible that HubSpot didn’t even try because the email address is invalid.
@ENadeem none of these mechanisms is 100% accurate – if you feel like you’re experiencing buggy behavior, I’d recommend reaching out to HubSpot support directly in-app via chat or email.
