This fuctionality would allow us to create workflows that could copy a property’s value (for example, Company Owner) from the Parent Company to the Child Company associated with it. This would be very useful for keeping data in sync between the two, but especially for automating ownership over one applying to ownership over the other.

Yes, please! I am trying to figure out a workaround currently to make this work. We have Project Terms for billing that we want to copy from Parent to Children.
Yes please! We are also looking for this exact solution to set a property value in child companies based on a property in the parent.
Please have it soon, its a much required feature for me.
