The problem I am trying to solve?
I am constantly asked to show progress over time for a variety of properties. In this specific example I will use Engagement lead score threshold which has High Medium or Low as a RAG report.
I am often asked to show how many were added to High this week vs last week vs week before. This allows us to see uptick/downturn in engagement scores and track annual progress.
To solve this problem I have created 3 new properties showing “Date Entered” value based on value changed to either High, Medium or Low. All good going forwards.
However historical values are much harder to fill out (this is not simply for one property - it is actually for many). Currently though we export lists and use “date added to list” specifically to manage / allow reporting on this.
What the idea is
Allow us to copy “date added to list” to another property to track changes. which would also allow the ability to use the new date field in reporting.
There are a few ways to tackle this as well as a number of actions that could support this as a whole - which i would love to hear suggestions in the comments
What does that look like?
Add “date added to list” as a property value for workflows to use. IE - is a member of a list> Edit Property > Add a Data Variable > Copy “Date added to list” to “whatever Date property”
Who is this for?
Admin, Middle Management and Senior Leadership
An example of how to use it
I would then create a report as a line graph showing date entered over time across the chosen property. ie - y axis total number of companies entered “High” engagement, x axis date entered, filter for this fiscal year.
This would then show either a line going up = manager smile or a line going down = manager frown.
you could then add multiple lines within the graph in different colours showin high medium and low over time.
Can I do this using custom code? I am unsure as I dont custom code - I lean towards “This not possible with custom code”.
What do I do currently? Export and use excel to manually aggregate and produce this in a powerpoint.
Whats wrong with the way I currently do it? I am aiming to reach a single pane of glass to operate from and that chosen medium is hubspot. My objective is to minimise the amount of movement from one app to another and automate as much as possible. The way this is set up currently means this is significantly harder to achieve.
